From Glaurung at Ps2dev:

I've finally been able to setup and use a second independent context. I was able to perform the 'upper VRAM workaround' from this second context, even though the first context (setup by ps3fb) has restricted upper VRAM access through DMA (by means of the lv1_gpu_memory_allocate(ps3fb_videomemory.size,... ) call).

Sweet! I was actually complaining about the lack of video memory access just today.

Actually this is more on the lines of Linux based Full 3d Rendering, meaning that in a short while we should have full video access to the PS3.

Better yet, at least for me, OSX-10.5 Leopard + Darwine, = G5 Quad Core for $500

doesn't get much better than that!
