I want to play .avi video's onto my R4 using moonshl but moonshl doesnt support it obviously, could anyone tell me which format I would have to convert the .avi to?

Moonshell takes the DPG format, which stands for "DS MPEG"

There are several converters that will convert to DPG format for you. Moonshell itself comes with DPGTools 13, though you can also use BatchDPG, DPGMux, or SUPER.

:confused:hi there. judging by the thread i read from you, i'm hoping you can help. i've bought my kids a DS each for xmas, and am trying to download/ upload games to r4 cards. the DS isn't able to read the game i've loaded onto card. do i need to format r4 or install some other software before the games can be read? pls help.:confused:

you need to put the 4 folders onto the sd card that fits in the r4 slot card... system/moonshl/ds menu/ds_mshl_nds... than just drag and drop the game rom to the card
