Just because NASA doesn't go to the moon anymore doesn't mean you can't.MoonBase Commander, the 2002 turn-based strategy game from Humongous Entertainment, is now available (http://store.steampowered.com/news/12350/) on Steam. Even better news, it costs significantly less than a real-life NASA-sponsored space ride: $6 gets you (http://store.steampowered.com/app/254880/) your very own moon base to command.

Humongous Entertainment still exists today, but no longer owns the rights toMoonBase Commander; that honor now belongs to Aliens Vs. Predator (http://www.joystiq.com/game/aliens-vs-predator)developer Rebellion. Now you know who to thank for allowing you to launch probes and combat rival factions via turn-based gameplay.

We think we'll call our base "Moon Unit Zappa (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0953262/)."
