Seeing some gameplay clips at Gametrailers.com (http://www.gametrailers.com), I think it looks like a fun game. It is a movie game, though, so I won't hold my breath for it, but rather keep an eye on its reviews (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/psp/goldencompass).

It is definately not the Catholic Church, it is some small fringe organization calling itself the "Catholic League". The book has been in Catholic school libraries for 11 years. Hardly evil.
