I just found out about this song today, and I have new found respect for the power metal brand music of today.

The speed and quality of the song is quite incredible (in comparison of the pop crap of today). Here are (in my opinion) the pros and cons of the song.

Pros

Speed, definitely.

Song writing (reminds me of the 80's metal in basic make up).

Guitar solo and guitar playing skill (it's ****ing madness and it only lets up for a little bit. I can believe that one of the guitar player's strings broke during recording).

Pitch (it doesn't sound like a bunch of apes screeching into a microphone).

Lengh, not too short, not too long.

Cons

The change of speed at about 4:03. I think that you should keep speed constant for the whole song.

The ending. A little lackluster in my opinion.

Conclusion. 9/10

Manowar

Agreed! ;)

-------

Dragonforce are no good. Sounds like cheesy euro pop. Guitarists and drummer are tallented, but the singer sounds like a cheap Iron maiden singer (bruce (cant spell it))

Their solos are cheesy and repetitive.

Dragonforce belong in Eurovision.

I can't believe I'm actually going to defend a band from today...

I must agree, their solos are repetitive, but the sheer skill involved in playing those notes out ways that.

Wow man, I've been listening to Dragon Force since a huge long time ago.

Yngwie Malmsteen is freaking awesome. One of the best guitarists ever. It's my personal favorite.

But one thing, as I said, Yngwie Malmsteen is just the name of the guitarist, not the band. The band's name is Rising Force. I have all of the Albums!

Have you ever heard of Magic Kingdom? That band is freaking nice. The guitarist is an Yngwie Malmsteen's wanna-be.

Very good list my friend!

Im personally disappointed by dragonforce as they are a fake band. Plus not to mention that they are played out since last year haha. They are not that great live....

I saw Manowar in Hollywood a couple months back they kicked ass! Helloween is very good too, I love playing Keeper of the Seven Keys on guitar, and their paint it black cover is very good.

JKK do you like Kamelot?

this is what ive heard of malmsteen.

Yngwie Malmsteen is a horrible guitarist and he insults some of my favourites and then messes up on stage about 60 times in one song.

pibster, can you go into more detail as to why you dont like df.
