Hi,deniska and some else may concerned:

I have finished a early-stage vector map appl (which i former name vmap).

Features:
ESRI shp via shapefile lib;
qGIS project file parser (xml) via expat lib (port to pspsdk myself);
i18n via libiconv( port to pspsdk myself);
projection via libproj4( port to pspsdk myself);
the vector map redering engine (rastering) via libgd(port to pspsdk myself) ;

I also complete some GUI, and the map rendering engine also support the Quad-Tree index file to accl the fecth speed of feature(which was produced by shapfile tool and also used by MapServer).

If it does help mapthis to support vector, i give out the libs,demo data and the main source code.

intergration of an off-screen vector map rendering(I suggest use libgd ) is a good idea, which could be easy integrated into your mapthis map engine:)

you could cantact me through

for further info.

Thanks for the info..
Actually created my own vector map rendering implementation, which is more consistent with google projection format and optimized for psp..
In my tests, parsing through the shape files on PSP is not really efficient, so I came up with my own optimized format (outlined in another thread here) and rendering routines...
I still need to work on polygon (water/terrain) rendering and labels but so far I don't see any huge show-stoppers other than lack of free time..
Let me know, If you want to contribute to mapThis development - I'll share the latest source code..

Why not use existing well-document file format such as roadmap rdm , japanese kiwi, or navitech's SDAL. If you wanna a new one, better consider the routing network analysis info inside.

A complete PSPGU-accl rendering engine is really attractive:)

If you don't devlop it further can you help Deniska ? O boy he is always short of free time to complete his wonderfull projects.

Hello! I'd like to thanks Deniska for the great tool to navigate with PSP.
And so I'd like to thanks Pooka but cannot even start vmap :( .

Help me please.

I have 3.90 M33-3, PSP slim.
Tried to put folders from archive (first or second or both) into directories /psp/GAME, /psp/GAME150, /psp/GAME380.

Application displays in the games section, then trying to start, but fails.
