Colour mod DC (painting)

I have my plain old DC, and I want to change it's colour.

Q1: Is there a specific kind of paint I should use?

Q2: What would it cost to get the paint and whatever supplies i may need?

Q3: How long might it take?

There is a tutorial here (http://devcast.dcemulation.com/mods/paint/paint.php)

1) You can use pretty much any spray paint. Some are better than others.
2) Fiver for a can of spray paint, maybe a few quid for some fine grain sand paper.
3) Spray paint dries in 15 mins but for it to properly set takes about 12 hours.
