Here's mine in order of era. I've added a "Badass alert" to songs that basically rock.

60's

Iron Butterfly (best song, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida)

Steppenwolf (favorite songs, Born to Be Wild, Magic Carpet Ride)

Strawberry Alarm Clock (best song, Incense and Peppermints)

The Doors (favorite songs, Light My Fire, Riders on The Storm)

Jimi Hendrix Experience (best song, Purple Haze)

70's

Sugarloaf (best song, Green Eyed Lady) Badass alert!

Climax Blues Band (best song, Couldn't Get It Right)

Boston (best songs, Don't Look Back, Smokin', Foreplay/Longtime) Badass alert

Creedence Clearwater Revival (favorite songs, I Heard It Through The Grapevine)

Chicago (favorite songs, 25 or 6 to 4, Saturday in The Park) Badass alert

Deep Purple (favorite songs, Smoke On the Water, Hush) Badass alert

Rare Earth (favorite songs, I Just Want To Celebrate, Get Ready) Badass alert

Dire Straits (best song, Sultans of Swing)

80's

Iron Maiden (favorite songs, The Trooper) Badass alert.

A Flock of Seagulls (favorite song, I Ran)

Van Halen (favorite songs, Jump) Badass alert.

Queensryche (best song, Queen Of The Reich

Today

DragonForce (best song, Through the Fire And Flames) badass alert.

Look some of these songs up if you haven't heard of them (especially Green Eyed Lady, Boston's stuff, and Chicago's stuff).

Hee Hee. Early Pantera look more like the bands on your list JKK.

My musical tastes vary depending on my moods but I currently like in no particular order:

Linkin Park
Sigur Ros
Mogwai
Paradise Lost
My Dying Bride
Anathema
Neurosis
Aim
Zero 7
Cinematic Orchestra
Logistics
AFI
Bjork

Kinda like ambient and chilled out beats and also metal. My first musical loves were all hard rock and heavy metal based, stuff like Maiden, Judas Priest etc. I still follow the stuff by Paradise Lost, Anathema and My Dying Bride because it's been good seeing how these bands have evolved from their early years at Peaceville.

I forgot to list Pearl Jam. I've only heard songs off their first two albums (Ten and Vs.), and they were great.

Yea pearljam is awesome as well. I was also surprised when you mentioned Sublime. i had a friend that just recently introduced me to there music. I mean ive been hearing about there music for a while, but when i really stopped to listen to them it was epic.

im going to just lay this out there but i also like U2. For some reason there music is just so good even now. plus they didn't fade like all those eighties bands. Omg Pride "in the name of love". The best!

Meh. :P

I dislike Grunge (which is hilarious, because I'm from where it practically spawned; Seattle). Never did much for me.
