View Full Version : UK Charts: Mario & Sonic outpace Need for Speed

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has moved into the number one spot on the UK all formats chart according to data released by Chart-Track.

For the week ended December 8, the Wii game featuring the Nintendo and Sega mascots moved up six places to knock Need for Speed: ProStreet out of the number one spot.

The biggest mover of the week was Mario Party 8, which came up all the way from number 27 to enter the Top Ten at number 10.

New to the chart this week were The Golden Compass (#16), Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (#24), Link's Crossbow Training (#27), and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (#28).

I seem to remember Sega saying something about this being Christmas number one and everyone (myself included) laughed at this proposition!
Well, looks like it might come true as yet!!

Is this game out on the ds yet?

So its not top of all charts then!

Considering how terrible the game is (http://au.wii.ign.com/articles/837/837349p1.html), I think its safe to say the sales are due to 'safe' Christmas gift buying rather than the quality of the title.

i actually quite enjoy the game, after a few beers and with a few mates of course, the 4x100 is pretty brutal on the arms towards the end
