The live action films weren't that great, but Resident Evil's got another chance at making right on the movie screen with the straight to DVD CGI flick Biohazard: Degeneration.

The trailer has just been released and although it's not quite at the same level as Square Enix's gorgeous FFVII Advent Children, its looking fairly decent.

The CG animated film, which is released next year, hopes to better the live-action efforts with "groundbreaking visual effects and a brand-new story line", says Capcom. Plot details are scarce at the moment, but from the trailer we know it's got Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield and erm, zombies in it.

We'll let you know how it turns out when we get our hands on the disc later next year. At least it hasn't got Milla Jovovich in it.

Personally I enjoyed the real films, I prefer them before an animated film

Was just reading an article on Resident Evil: Extinction competition here. The author was quite enthusiastic. I'm a bit more sceptical, but to be honest I like how that is creative. Took a look on the flash game, it's not bad. Anyway, the article is here (http://www.binaryjoy.co.uk/games/games-news/resident-evil-extinction-competition/). What do you think?
