Anybody has the same issue? I have two fat psps, one of them is ta82. Both of them have been upgraded to 3.71 m33-4. That one doesn’t recognize psp-290 at all. The gps state always shows “OFF”. The other one works just fine. I’ve heard that ta82 has to have its id key fixed, but when it’s updated to 3.71, the key has already been fixed by the upgrade. Any ideas?

You could try Chilly Willy's Key Cleaner anyway, perhaps it does work :). Search the forums or Google for version 1.4.

The key cleaner should solve the problem. i have a ta82 board too and it works all the time.

Thanks guys. still no luck. I've run Chilly Willy's Key Cleaner 1.4. it did fix some keys but the gps still not working. I run "analyze key" again and got one error: checking key 0X0041 failed! this key is a copy of key 0X0006. Any ideas?

Hm, maybe there is a another Key Cleaner out. Try to get another one. By the way do you have the right prx files for your firmware?

Looks like the bad key 0x0041 might be the cause of the problem - Chilly Wily promises to include this one in his next version. Thanks guys for your input and have a great holiday!

I had exact same problem, fat psp - ta82, 3.71 m33-4, on which I could not get PSP-290 works with. After run Chilly Willy's key cleaner, got the same result too - "0X0041 failed! this key is a copy of key 0X0006". Are you still waiting for Chilly Willy's next version? or you have got it resolved? Very appreciate any update here.

Thansk for the update. I couldn't wait either so I copied the value of that key 0X0041 from my other psp ta79 and resovled the issue. But I am not sure if it has the same value same the one on original ta82 or not. Can anybody provide the original key value for 0X0041? Mine is psp1001.

I am having the same exact problem, "0X0041 failed! this key is a copy of key 0X0006".

It's very frustrating because i can't get my new gps unit or usbhostfs to work until i fix this. :(

Does anyone have the proper 0X0041 key for a ta-82 fat 1001 psp? And exactly how do i manually install it?

Or is there a new way to fix this?
Any help would be great.

using Idstorage Manager - I dumped the key 0X0041 from my old one 79 and put it to my 82, and it worked.
