Dreamcast Karaoke unit

I picked a Dreamcast karaoke extension unit in Japan this year. I knew there was a good chance it wouldn't work; sure enough the Sega Karaoke service ended in 2006. So the unit only cost me $10; no bid deal.

Does anyone know if this thing has a hacking community?
