I am a lover of games consoles and apart from the Amiga CD32 which i hated and the Amiga 1200 i can honestly say i havent had a system ive disliked. The PSP and Xbox and Dreamcast rank high on my list but my fave console of all time was and is the Super Nintendo - i loved my Snes and Wild Card combo :)

Hmm, this is a tough one for me, I spend so much time staring at the T.V. I pick the NES. It may not have the best games, or be the funnest, but so far as I'm concerned, it's the reason theres video games today.

Mine has to be either the old-fashioned arcade cabinets or Dreamcast. My next would be SNES.

Heh. This is an easy one. The original Xbox......cause it emulates most of the other ones.

Going by sheer number of hours played, that would likely be the NES. For sheer versatility and current usage, though, I'd have to say PSP. Being able to pack all my fave S/NES, GBA, PSX and PSP games in a single, portable package--not to mention movies!--is a huge point in the PSP's favor.

Super nes, purely for the sheer amount of great games, Chrono trigger, FF series, Mario World etc etc the list goes on, just like the console :)

I have to go with the PS2...All the classic PS1 games on top of an already fantastic line up.

On a personal level, I love my psp...The homebrew scene has made it my personal favorite system.

I loved the SNES and N64 as much as the next guy, but being able to fast forward and save anywhere is tough to beat. I don't have the time like I did when I was a kid!

I would say the Dreamcast. My favorite game of all time, Jet Grind Radio, is only for the Dreamcast. It also has some of the greatest games in every genre. The homebrew scene is great. After Dreamcast, I would say Genesis because I grew up with it, plus it has great games. Xbox 360 is my favorite system to be released in the past 5 years.

It's hard to choose my favorite, but my favorite console is probably my Dreamcast because of the weird games and some of the great accessories. A very close 2nd would be my SNES because of all the good memories playing it. My favorite portable is the DS because it has great games. My PSP is obviously up there too because of it's homebrew, but most of the games for it aren't too great.

the psp brought me into homebrew and because of homebrew on it mainly the emulators gpsp being my favourite by the way id say the psp, but the console i had the most fun on and had the best games would have to be snes.

The PS1 took me from idly playing NFS2 on a second-hand PC to spending most nights playing Syphon Filter multiplayer, then the PS2 went from TimeSplitters marathons to a career in game development. The PS2 is the better console though, and pretty much my years of school and college were filled by it. Most of the best games I've ever played are PS2 titles, and even now among the flashy next-gen graphics, it's good not to forget the depth of MGS3 and the attractiveness of GT4, both on what is now seen as pretty old hardware. It dominated its generation, and rightly so.

A runner-up is probably the DS for handiness, truly friendly and fun games, and the most useful homebrew around. There's also the original Xbox because it's one of the worst consoles I own, but the homebrew community has turned it into a machine customisable down to the kernel and controller ports, but also easily usable as a media centre or even desktop PC. The PS3 also gets a mention for an excellent menu system, rock-solid perceived build quality (with a DS3, the Sixaxis is shoddy), and taking the route of freedom with Linux and swappable HDDs while its rivals go for total lockdown.

SNES, and I love my PSP for being able to play my SNES games on the go. I would also want to thank all of the people who made the SNES emulator on the PSP possible.

wow this is a hard question...modded xbox, ps1, dreamcast, snes, etc....

I would pick the psp cause with emulator I can run most of the game I owned in the past and play them on the go...

but I'll go with Ps2, cause I've enjoyed almost every good game it has. I can remember when I first played God of War it literaly blew me away.

Of course my PSP comes in a very close second, since it lets me carry all of my childhood in one portable console, and also has plenty of good games from its own

I'd have to say the PSP is my favorite console I've ever used. Although the NES was the first console I ever played on, and I had a bunch of fun on it, the PSP got me into the homebrew scene and is just a BUNCH of fun. I'd also have to say Xbox 360 is decent (games, Windows Media Center connectivity, and Xbox Live)

For me its a toss-up between the N64 and the SNES. I never had any Sega consoles growing up and both of those consoles were destroyed when my house burned down. Still have some of the N64 games I used to have. Not sure why I haven't bought another one yet...

Man I loved my nes, snes, and genesis back in the day. However my ultimate favorite console has to be my Turbo Duo. I used to own a Turbo Graphx-16 and the cd add on. When I bought the Turbo Duo and started playing the Super CD rom2 games I was in heaven. Plus Ys Book I&II has to be the best rpg (for me) that I have ever played. I have never played through an RPG as much as Ys Book I&II. Plus I loved playing Lords of Thunder, Gate of Thunder, Dragon Slayer, Dracula-X (which I bought back in 93). So many more amazing games I can't even list them all.

Well, since I am using the linux OS on my PS3 to post this. I would have to say, the PS3 and PSP combo is the best system of all time. Mainly because with the proper adjustments you can turn your dynamic duo into the ultimate media center anywhere in the world. Not to mention PS and PS2 game compatability.:thumbup:

the wii is pretty awesome considering it cant do full hd and stuff...
ive played the 360 and its cool but has too many issues that plague it plus the fact that every game on it is either m for mature or a friggin sports game. if i want to play sports, ill go outside and do it.

i havent gotten my hands on a ps3 yet, but thats gonna happen soon enough...

Loved different ones for very different reasons.

If I had to pick, it'd probably be the SNES. Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart,, Super Metroid, Super Mario All Stars, Super Contra, Super Castlevania, Street Fighter 2 Turbo (though saying that, it's hard not to say the N64 for the Ocarina of Time by itself)

This is a tough question to answer for me. I have always been a big fan of the underrated consoles (Atari Jaguar, Turbo Grafix16, Panasonic 3D0, JVC Eye, and others) in general and over the years I have owned many of them. If I were to pick one over them all I would have to go with my dreamcast only because it's the only console I still own. I am working on finding myself another Turbo Grafix 16 though because I truly did love that console XD)

DS Lite/Original. Because it can play GBA games, and has some pretty decent games for it too. SNES isnt far behind, but is beaten because my favourite games for it are on the GBA.
