unless you have a very high spec pc you will notice the speed decrease, stick with what you've got unless there's any specific feature you're really interested in...

dont go to vista, its a memory hog, trust me i have vista and it sucks. stick with XP, youll be happier.

I have Vista and XP installed on my PC (Vista was installed when I bought the PC) but I always use XP. Especially when you play games you notice about 20% FPS drop.
