Pandora's Battery...

Hi!
I want to unbrick my brother's slim using my psp phat but for some reason when i open Battery Creatore i get a message saying Game could not be started(some numbers). My kernel is on 3.xx and the battery creator is in PSP/GAME and i am on 3.71-2 M33...

Your kernel needs to be on 1.50 that's why.

If it won't change to 1.50 you haven't got the addon installed or you've got a PSP slim which can't run a 1.50 subset.

It did change.. But i still get the message Game could not be started, but this time it stayed black for a longer time and the memorystick light flashed abit

I'm not too sure what's wrong. I'll try and find out for you i've had this problem before. Are you definatly sure your PSP is a phat and has got a custom firmware or 1.50. I know you specified but I just want to make sure.

Thank you for helping me :) and yes I am 100% sure, the Pandora's Battery application has worked before normally but i'm not sure what's wrong now...

You have got the option to enable the 1.50 subset, so i'm not too sure what the problem is. What installation have you got installed right now 1.50 subset 2? Do all your other homebrew applications work?

yeah i got 1.50 subset 2 but i think i now know my issue, i think my IDstorage is corrupt because when i downgraded my psp phat using pandora's i never dumped my nand on the memory stick... so i think i need the nand from another psp...

NO! That will wreck your PSP never use a nand from another PSP or say goodbye to yours, dumping the nand does nothing except backing up your nand in case it's necessary to restore your PSP that way not dumping it affects nothing. Can you run any other homebrew application?

Ahha ok i wont do that.. yes some homebrew does run and some dont, some homebrew that used to work with my phat psp doesnt work anymore on the phat psp after i unbricked it...

Hmm sounds like some of your registry may be wrong. O.K first thing I would do is a system restore in the system folder. A lot of homebrew doesn't work with the 3.71 subset enabled.

Go to settings then System Settings then Restore Default Settings.

It still doesnt open, after i restored settings i tried 1.50 kernel then 3.71 kernel and i get that The game could not be started. (8002014C) message

Well what I would try next is to delete the battery creator off your memory stick and then download a new one and put it on. It sounds like the file may be corrupt. If that doesn't work re-install the 1.50 subset. As a last resort I'd downgrade your PSP down to 1.50.

Alright ill try that out

I downloaded a new one and didnt work, gonna try re-installing the 1.50 subset.. I think i tried that before and it resulted in a brick but if it happens again ill just downgrade to 1.50

Thanks. Just do one thing before you do anything else. Restore the default setting on your PSP to prevent registry corruption. I think that's how the problem happened in the first place.

can u help me pls. a message that the game could not be started it's showing when i start the aplications for pandora on the psp...i can run homebrew games...firmware is 3.71m33-4....u talking to reinstall 1.5 subset ...how to do that..thanks and if u could mail me will be great....
