Activision is to release a software-only version of 2007's Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360, allowing those who have recently snagged a copy of Guitar Hero III to go back and play classics such as The Stooges' Search & Destroy, Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box and Guns N'Roses' Sweet Child O'Mine.
The standalone version goes on sale on 25th January and although we've yet to get confirmation of the retail price, if GHIII is anything to go by it'll be full price.
