I'm trying to build a coders cable using this schematic (http://mc.pp.se/dc/serifc.html).

I bought four of these thinking I can use them as capacitors:

The problem is, I already soldered the chip and the radial leads to a circuit board and I seemed to realize that capacitors have a positive and a negative side (I didn't really take that into account when I soldered them).

Lucky for me, I have another spare circuit board and chip so I can toss the current board if I bought the wrong capacitors and\or soldered them incorrectly.

Here are some freshly taken pictures:

Can I actually use the radial leads? If so, do I need to flip any around? They didn't have any means of telling which, if any, side is positive except for very small printed text on one of the sides (see eBay auction picture)...
