Indie developer Black Forest Games announced that its Commodore 64-era revival project Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (http://www.joystiq.com/game/giana-sisters-twisted-dreams) has crested one million sales units across all available platforms.
Funded by a successful Kickstarter project (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/26/giana-sisters-twisted-dreams-rests-on-oct-23-release-date/), Twisted Dreams is a dimension-shifting platformer that launched in 2012 for Windows, with ports for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U arriving last year.
