I just received mine yesterday from toysrus.com. I like it very much. My only complaints are that the buttons do not glow in the dark, and that pressing ANY button will turn your PS3 on... a pain when you have a handsy 1 1/2 year old around the house. :)

I've had a BD controller from when the Playstation 3 first arrived to stores in the UK and it's ace. It's a great thing to have if you watch films and listen to music on the console.

It doesn't "enable" DVD and Blu-Ray Disc (BD) playback.
Playback of both is already enabled.
The PS3 controller can be used just as effectively.

I pressed the "joystick-right" button on the remote last night, and it turned my PS3 on. Again, any button on the remote turns it on, I guarantee you.

Your statement is true about the PS3 game controller, but not about this remote.

Very true, any button pressed on the BD remote will turn on the Playstation 3, not that it bothers me in any way. In fact, that's the way I usually turn on the console and eject a disk loaded in the drive. I hardly use the power/eject disk sensors on the machine itself.
