Sure, I'm over them, but I'm in the clear minority; most of you lot can't get enough of achievement points. You crave them. Oh, except for people who own only a PS3. You don't. But you soon will, and not just in Home's promised "trophy shelf" system either. PSN boss Eric Lempel:

"I know that an achievement system is very important to our consumers. With Home, and in addition to Home, we have some very exciting programs planned to recognize our consumers gaming skills and loyalty in new ways that go well beyond a single score."

Wheeee! I just wonder how it'll work for stuff you've already done by the time Home rolls around.

Nice. Seriously, offering achievements makes games more playable. Like Resistance and getting the X-Ray Player Skin for beating the game on Extreme (or whatever it was called) difficulty.

I have been hooked on COD4 for the PC because it has a ranking system which unlocks better weapons and attachments.

Actually if anyone stole that it was Microsoft; since the Home button on the PSP does the same exact thing...

Im with SB on this one. Achievements are great but couldn't sony make something more clever?

I think it would be great if you could have different level achievements which depending on the level it adds money to your PlayStation Wallet.

Like level 1 (quite easy) = 10p

to level 5 (Very hard) = £1.00

A guy can dream huh?

Ps achievement system will be better IMO because I like home trophies :P

I'd liek a trophy in the shape of a penis, but i agree we should get little rewards like "kill 300 noobs get £1"
