Microsoft Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer has assured fans that this year's E3 Xbox press briefing will be heavily focused on new game content.
When asked via Twitter (https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/446874187777310720) today if Microsoft's presentation will be "as game focused as last year", Spencer replied, "Yes, I think you'll see very few execs."

Microsoft use this week's GDC show in San Francisco to unveil its new DirectX 12 software (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/454967/directx-12-announced-works-across-all-microsoft-platforms/). The next generation version of Microsoft's DirectX API was revealed to an industry audience on Thursday.
Anuj Gosalia, development manager for graphics at Microsoft, claimed that DirectX 12 will work in some form across all Microsoft platforms; A position in line with the corporation's ethos of uniting tablets, computers and games consoles with the same operating systems.
