ditto. Always loved the C64. I only wish c128 emulation could be included.
but I know all source is available for VICE... so is the source for this release available? Perhaps I could kludge together the 128 emulation using changes from vice to this as a reference...

I am very addicted to this great port of Vice. Unfortunately after upgrading to 3.80 M33-2, it will no longer work. I hope for a fix!

actually, this works perfectly on 3.80 m33-2! You probably need to convert it to a 1.0 style (single) eboot.pbp instead of the %folder thing. I do that to everything anyway because with the kxploit patch for 1.5 ... there is no excuse to have the %folder thing for ANY homebrew in the first place.
EDIT: I've attached a converted eboot. Delete your %_SCE folder, ad this eboot.pbp to the other one, then delete the _SCE part from the folder name so it's just named PSP/GAME/PSPVice
have fun!

Has anyone gotten this program to work?
Here's a link to his program
http://perso.numericable.fr/~ckckck/C64/RecompressGameBaseDir.zip
Here a link to his page explaining it.

Any help would be welcome.
Thanks,

Hi all,
I tride the recompressdirs tool, but it does stop after letter G...
Anyone elese having the same problem?
I use 7zip 4.60 beta, but 4.58 (as recommended) gave the same results...
Can someone please help?
EDIT: found it: for those having problems with the recompressdirs tool, here's what I did to make it work:
Install 7zip 4.60 (latest), and copied the 7z.exe to my working folder (the one where both games and screenshots are).
IMPORTANT: I think the problem came from folder names: I named my folder GAMES and SCREENS and the tool RCPDIRS.exe (not sure this was any use, does the 8-character no-space DOS naming convention apply here?)
But more important,
GAMES folder: contents renamed thus: [0], [a1], etc...
SCREENS folder : 0, A, B, etc...
Therefore, the screenshot on the author's page seems wrong, as he used brackets [] in both cases.
I also renamed the tool RCPDIRS.exe
Of course, RCPDIRS, 7Z.exe, GAMES ans SCREENS must be in the same folder...
Then: RCPDIRS GAMES\ SCREENS\ and you' re done.
Phew!

Yes I grew up using the C64, and was part of the C64 Scene from 1990-2001. If you type in "Morbid" or "DJB" into Google you'll find some of my work.
If anyone is interested they can check my page out: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/scener/index.php?id=466&allhandles=1
This would've probaby been my proudest moment in my C64 Scene career: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=8265
