A new report suggests that Apple's next flagship smartphone will be released in September.
According to Japanese publication Nikkei Asian Review (http://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Consumers/Apple-to-release-new-iPhone-in-September), display panel contractors of Apple are now ramping up production to meet the iPhone 6’s target of a September launch, which would be in keeping with launch of the iPhone 5 (September 2012) and the iPhone 5S (September 2013).
The report claims that the new device will likely be offered in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models.
Manufacturers have allegedly begun making fingerprint sensors and chips for liquid-crystal drivers.
Previous rumours suggest that the iPhone 6 will only come in a 4.7-inch version, and a 5.6-inch smartphone will be unveiled alongside it, but will not carry the brand name. (http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/read/new-apple-smartphone-will-not-be-called-an-iphone/033261)
