No. The only good thing is it's the only instant messenger service available on the profile.

I think that profiles could be good for cleaning up the forums, because if members want to post what could potentially be considered garbage then they can post it within their profile and start a discussion and whatnot (like what JKK could do with his JUNK thing in his blog).
