The Bat’s uneasy relationship with Nintendo’s home console continues.
Warner has announced that while Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition remains on target for Xbox 360 and PC today and PS3 tomorrow, the Wii U SKU has been pushed back.
It’s now due out at some point “later in April”.
The Caped Crusader has a patchy record on Nintendo’s device. Last year’s Batman: Arkham Origins was just a week before release delayed on Wii U for two weeks (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/batman-arkham-origins-delayed-on-wii-u-3ds-and-pc/0122850).
Then Warner later abandoned plans to release the game’s DLC (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/warner-cancels-batman-arkham-origins-dlc-on-wii-u/0127493) on the system “based on demand for downloadable content on the system”.
The game was originally released on Vita and 3DS last year.
