Every heart is a cage in this abbatoir earth
A formidable form in the smouldering hearth
A cellar to fasten these convictions within
Swimming in puddles of shed ashen skin

She warily mocks her condition
In a tweed nightdress she guzzles her milk
Her face like a storm stricken sky
Watchful. Like a like a boy with a toy

Waiting for this affliction
Under the pretence of chastity
Butting the thumb on the skull
Nullifying truth in confronting todays persona.

Tommorow greets my embryo
My temple, welcome, mornings shelter
Wading in the soaking silt
Amused at the sound of the ground.
