Microsoft is reportedly gifting a free week of Xbox Live Gold to Xbox One users who were affected by the March 11 Xbox Live outages.
According to IGN (http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/04/microsoft-crediting-users-affected-by-xbox-live-outage?%3A+ign%2Fall+%28IGN+All%29), citing reports from a number of users, the platform holder is sending notifications of the offer via the Xbox Live messaging system.

"We apologize and will soon give you 7 days of Xbox Live Gold for your inconvenience."
Outages on the service on March 11 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/453409/xbox-live-sign-in-issues-plague-titanfall-launch/) affected users' ability to log into their Xbox One consoles, and also interrupted matchmaking for Forza 5 and Titanfall - the latter of which launched in US that same day.
Microsoft insisted (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/453409/xbox-live-sign-in-issues-plague-titanfall-launch/) that the issues were not related to the Titanfall launch.
In recent weeks Microsoft has issued two further Xbox Live service warnings for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Warnings on March 25 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/455589/microsoft-issues-xbox-live-service-alert/) andApril 1 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/456741/microsoft-issues-xbox-live-service-alert/) affected gaming, social and purchasing features on both consoles.
