Don't know if this is "news-worthy" but a member over at the PSPU forums is working on Monopoly for the PSP and is comming along well.

Click here for the PSPU news article and forum link] (http://www.pspupdates.com/2005/08/pspopoly-coming-soon.html)

It's not a release, but just a little something to make people excited for a new upcoming game. All up to you if you decide to post this as news, just informing ya ;)

Louie and Billy Iturzaeta and Tri Nguyen (homepage unknown) have released PSP Rhythm Composer. This is a very fun program to play with and you can make a TON of sounds and save them as well. Here’s what they said about it:

“PSP Rhythm Composer is a TR-x0x style drum machine. It features a easy to use
16 step sequencer, 16 drump pattern loops and 16 drum sounds.

-=How to use the drum sequencer=-
There are 16 buttons on the bottom of the screen. Each one represents a step
in a measure. There is a red line above the step currently selected. When you
press the X button the step will light up orange for regular sound, then red
for accented sound and green for flam (hits accented drum twice).

There is a bar above the buttons, the note represents each beat and whole
gray bar shows you which buttons (steps) are in that beat.

To change the drum sounds press up or down on the D-Pad. The currently
selected drum will display on the screen. The buttons on the bottom of the
screen will also light up and show you the programming of the drum hits.

Put drum hits where you like and hit Start to play the pattern.

-=Controls=-
– Start Start and Stop Sequencer
– Select Toggle between Menu/Sequencer
– Up Select Previous Drum/Menu Command
– Down Select Next Drum/Menu Command
– Left Select Step to the left of current step/Change Menu Value
– Right Select Step to the right of current step/Change Menu Value
– X Tap the current step button to turn the drum hit on or off/Execute Menu Command
– Square Preview selected Drum Sound

NOTICE 1.0 USERS!!!!!!
I don't have a 1.0 PSP to test with! It should work but who knows!”

Developers can submit there characters or levels for the pack at the pspbrew.com forums.

There are currently 18 levels and 54 characters to choose from! Hope this helps people enjoy their psp even more.

I heard a rumor that in order to play certain UMD games, we may have to update our PSP system versions... Is there any truth to this?

Hello just wanted to share the news that samsung 925 mp3 player with a 20 gig hardrive has usb on the go which allows you to transfer mp3, movies, pictures without a computer. I have personally tried this. You do need the file assistant hack so that you can transfer the data that has been trasfered to the appropriate directory. I currently cary 30-40 movies in a ipod sized mp3 player on my belt and its alot cheaper than buying multiple memory sticks. As an added bonus this mp3 player also allows you to transfer jpg pictures from your digital camera straight to the mp3 player which also means no more compac, sd or any type of stick if you have a digital cameral.

found this on.. http://psp-dev.1emulation.com/

We want to announce that the colaboration between the two groups has been completly finished without success. We also want to announce that WAB has been disolved. The relatioship between the two groups were vanishing days ago (some of our members were banned from their server) and there is no progress with the colaboration.

In addition, the downgrader project (never finished) is immediatelly cancelled (it is not an excuse, we can't explain our reasons, but are enough to do this).

Time for meditation...

2.0 owners may have a very long wait for homebrew now :(

hello all, i just thought i would tell anyone that cares that i have discovered how to run an emulator on a 2.00 psp firmware, but i have not perfected it yet i spent about 2 hours this afternoon figuring out how to at least get a rom to load with a real name and pic. i got the Snes9x for psp emulator to show the proper picture and have the proper title with out using a update param.sfo file and it doesent show up as being corrupt. but like i said i havent learned what the key code for the psp 2.00 firmware is, there is one inside the param.sfo and that is the only thing keeping me from running an emulator, so when i find out what it is i will post Again telling everyone how to run one, if anyone is interested in this you can email me at [email protected] thanks
