I know this is probably posted SOMEWHERE on this site but i know a demo for a psone emu does exist but does any game work on it or only a select few? (my guess is select few) and i was just thinking is an n64 emulator even possible on this system? because i was thinking (dreaming) of playing games such as Smash Bros, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark on this thing. Possible? Exist? please post!
Also the thought of playing FF7 and FF8 would be insane and i would never upgrade my system if I hd to i'd get 2 damn psps insane? yes but so many emulators on a portable system would be nucking futs

I'd say 64 would be better since the roms are much smaller in size.

you don't understand the concept of how roms work. cart systems require all the rom info to be accessable instantaneously, so for cart systems, all cart info is stored in ram (when emulated). This is vastly different from CD systems which rely on temporary storage within their own ram to work, so all you have to do is emulate the ram and you end up with a working emulator with the disc image being accessed a lot (but that won't slow it down because that is how the system was designed to run).

i thought that n64 was ruled out because the PSP dosnt have enuf ram to dump everthing into?

N64 games aren't large, save for Conker's BFD and a few others.
The main thing preventing the PSP from emulating the N64 would be the tricky architecture and the rendering with the recompiler. It is quite doubtful to see a N64 emulator for the PSP.

What I meant was that you could fit more games on your memory stick. I don't understand the concept of how roms work. Thanks for the explanation.

Also considering the shakiness of PC N64 emus, it's not too likely. A lot of games are emulated great, but there are a great number that are as of yet unplayable.
