This is a hard question and im stuck between Mario Bros 3 and Mario World on the Snes.

Both awesome platform games, ok if i had to choose one i would say Super Mario World on the Snes just edges out Mario Bros 3

Yeah this is the hardest DCEmu Interview ever.

I don't even know what to say, I think my favorite game is between Metal Gear Solid series, Grand Theft Auto Series, God of War series, and the Kingdom Hearts series. I really enjoyed all of those games on the PS2.

But now with the Xbox 360, and BioShock, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, The Orange Box, and Mass Effect is even harder to make a decision.

Flashback has probably got the most playtime out of me of any platformer, so I think that's where I'd put my vote.

difficulty ramped up to the extreme, but the first rayman (played it on the jaguar) really struck me the most. i did complete it 100% ten years ago and doubt i could accomplish that feat again. mario was great but lacked the horsepower for the graphic style, enemy reactions, and character evolution. maybe the snes could have pulled off most of that...

best platformer ever
Mario 64 (although a 3d one)

edit: how could I forgot yoshi's island, great 2d platformer

2D: Yoshi's Island. Never a dull moment in the whole game, and the final boss is epic.

3D: Sonic Adventure 2. Final Rush, 'nough said.

It has to be Sonic 1 - 3k for the Megadrive. In fact best game ever, doesn't matter about the genre. :P Out of the 3/4 Sonic 1 is generally overall "the best."

Hello:

Years passed since I started to play video games. I can tell that my very best of them all is Target Earth from Sega Genesis. The story is very cool, the difficulty can match that of Ninja Gaiden on Xbox and has the coolest ending I've ever seen on a video game. Ever.

Nes: Mario 3
Gameboy: Mario 2
Master system: Wonder boy 3 (although its quite RPGish)
SNES: Yoshi's island/DKC
Megadrive: Sonic 2
PS1/Ngage: Pandamonium
N64: Mario 64
Xbox: Conker: Live and Reloaded
DS: New super mario bros
PSP: Daxter

I know the question said 'game' not 'games', too tough to decide.

Ratchet and Clank:Tools of Destruction

Nintendo rule all when it comes to platformers! :)

Super Mario World, Mario64... and now Super Mario Galaxy. ...there’s been plenty of imitators but nothing comes close to any of these.

Other honourable mentions: Strider, Strider 2 (arcade version), Another World, Super Ghouls and Ghosts, Castlevania SOTN, PSP’s Locoroco, Bonk etc etc.

I'd say the Mega Man series is my favorite. It isn't as smooth as Mario Bros. 3 but once your skills in maneuvering mega man increase the game is a blast.

So many to choose from... the Mario series, Wario Land series, the Kirby series, Donkey Kong Country series and 64, Banjo and Kazooie series, all the 2D Sonic games and a few of the 3D ones, the original Spyro trilogy for Ps1, the Megaman series, Castlevania...

I just can't single out one series, let alone one game! They all hold special places in my heart.

Well i have played alot of great platform games over the years. If you can also include 3D in platform well i got one personal fav for that aswell. I started playing games since the Nintendo Entertainment System era. I really enjoyed the games on there but it wasnt until the SNES when i really started to enjoy the platform games it had to offer.

Of course i bought this system when Super Mario Allstars came with the system. I was so happy i went from playing all my favourite Super Mario games in 8bit to playing all my Super Mario games on one cartridge and in 16bit.

Whats better then that well i gotta say nothing and why cause it was a great transformation these games looked and felt like they were never released until the Super Nintendo and i know they werent but they should have been.

Then of course the next game i was 12 years old i think and its still hard today to believe it was that long ago cause im 25 years old now. But i when Donkey Kong Country was released i had to get that game. So me and my mother went out to Zellers and picked that game up. Was i happy hell yes cause you couldnt even get my off the system when that was released.

Next is now the 3D platform game Rayman 2 The Great Escape for the Dreamcast. Now i hadn't played this game more then the last 2 games for the SNES but when i did i couldnt believe my eyes. This game was so beautiful even on a system that didnt get a big break. Of course you gotta thank Ubisoft for that cause there graphical art design is just fantastic. Of course only thing missing from this game until it was ported over to the PS2 or remade was the voices. Though i dont really care about that to much.

Anyways those were my personal fav platformer games and if dont trust me then try it yourself and you can thank me later lol.
