Oooo, yes good choice my friend.

Metallica's best studio album right there, closely followed by Kill Em' All.

...Wow. I'm WAY off the genre but. In terms of intelligence and wit and creativity I'd go with

Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's The Cool.

but in metal/rock... uh...Greatest Hits - Guns N Roses

Punk: Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables by Dead Kennedys
Classic Rock: Echos by Pink Floyd
Alternative: The Sufferer and the Witness by Rise Against

It's OK, I'll excuse your ignorance this one time. WYWH is most certainly the best Floyd album.

At the moment, IQ - The Seventh House is totally ace. I also like another set of albums from that band called Subterranea (studio and live versions) and Seven Stories Into Eight, along with Ever.

Because we decide what is junk and what isn't ;).

Also, to be clear, it seems a lot of people are posting "my favorite album". Is that what we're going for? My possible answers so far had been based not on that but on 'greatest album ever'.

Going by that, Pink Floyd would suck as a whole now wouldn't they?

What is the 'greatest album ever' if not the mode of a collection of peoples choice for "my favorite album"?
If you only sampled pre-teen girls then Justin Timberlake is probably the greatest artist ever.

One person can only really answer the latter themselves, the former requires a lot more leg work.
