BluezPS on Flickr has designed what must be one of the sweetest looking Designs for the PSP yet.

Heres the screen:

That looks absolutely ace. If the next PSP were to be just that, I'd lose no time in getting one!

Overall, this is a very sweet design, but you may have to get a hard case for it in order to keep it functional. I mean, that screen looks nearly impossible to keep free of scratches.

At any rate, despite my complaint I would still want one of these.

is this supposed to be the size of a normal psp? cause it looks too huge to fit in any pocket...

This is a very nice design but there would definitely be control issues. And it looks to be not the most ergonomic as it'd be top heavy with the screen extended.

I think with slightly modified control layout and a more ergonomic feel, something like this would be extraordinary.

Lets face it, portables are going to be a big part of the future. Today's portables have limits due to their small screen sizes so I think a larger screen would be well received if it was not too big and didn't get in the way of the devices functionality.

I think its inevitable that Microsoft will at some point try to launch a hand held gaming platform and Nintendo would be foolish to not continue to capitalize and expand the success of their portable endeavors. This makes it all but certain that we will at some point in the near future see a future PSP design from SONY.

I think in its current state, UMD needs to go or be significantly overhauled.

They should make that touch screen!

Eh? I'm not too hot for that design. The PSP is sexy because of its curvy form factor. That thing is like a Nintendo DS without shitty technology. For PSP2 to be awesome, that beautiful massive screen would need to be a better touch screen than iPhones (Meaning it's better functionality wise AND resistant against scratches like the iphone). As for the button placements, I have no idea

OMG, i would definitely buy this :) I think Sony should consider making a new and better psp looking like this :D

it looks like the OQO but without a qwerty

Looks more like a portable DVD player than a next-gen PSP. It also looks top heavy, awkward to hold, and not very easy to fit in your pocket. While aesthetically pleasing and very nicely rendered, I think a design like this one would only work if it were manufactured with an extremely light space age material so that it wouldn't wear your wrists out while playing games.

I think what we have right now, Slim or Fat, is already as good as it can get.

looks pretty sick but it would feel really topheavy, also maybe triggers on the back that go in when not in use instead of shoulder buttons. that also helps with stability

absolutely breathtaking, it also looks pretty feasable

analog sticks are so uncomfortable when they're at the very bottom of the console.

Hmm this seems very possible think about it sony was already researching that paper light and thin OLED who says they couldn't bring that out and put it like that so no weight problems and fix the controller layout it seems very possible if you look at it that instead of the weighing lcds we have now:rolleyes:

:p

LOL... a whole 200mb? such high expectations

why are so many people complaining about awkward and top heavy? How many GBA SP systems sold again?

thaught so.

you couldn't say anything about that until you held it in your hands. I didn't even think about buying a PSP until I saw it in the store and had a look.

Looks even bigger than the PSP already is ! The only other thing that offers is an extra analog stick, which should of been on the PSP anyway. I just don't think it's an improvement.

nice nifty design though XD

No need to worry about any screen scratches, just use a really good screen guard and it will be fine. I think this design has alot of promise, there is such a huge potential with portables yet so many obvious things are missed.

beautiful.
I like the dual analog.
I'm wondering whether there's a stand on the back with a solar cell built in..
