PSPhone pics supposedly leak, we're not convinced

We weren't blown away when a couple of days ago a rumor started to take hold that a "PSP-style phone" was in the works, but now we've officially entered either elaborate hoax territory (the image above has been seen in both English and Spanish), or just might have pics of the real thing. We're banking on the latter, but we're working with our Spanish-speaking bureau to whip up a translation, which we'll post in a few minutes.

"New in 2008: July-Dec"
Top box: Between both keyboards there is a 3 inches screen with the same resolution of the PSP (480x272 pixels) which guarantees a good gaming experience. Good as well for movies.

Lower right box: PSP functionalities were replicated in this architecture, making possible that all PSP games can be played. It won't have UMD slot, but it'll have M2 cards instead

Left box: Slide on one side and you'll find a joypad with analog stick for PSP controls. Slide to the other side and a number keyboard will show up enjoying the ergonomy of Sony Ericsson

it looks even more brittle then the psp slim but if it does cum out lets hope its not too heavy/bulky and that the battery will last longer then a week

Sure looks nice, real or not, but you know, I'd rather have a PSP with a hard drive and some emphasis on an MP3/Video-friendly interface, to really make it the all-in-one.

Ha I really didn't notice that, but to have the thing slide over the Dpad and analouge nub would make it pretty bulky, since they would need to leave room so it would scratch anything.

Too bad the article in the pic is written in portuguese, not spanish, since the word for game in spanish is juego. The word in the article is written jogo which is portuguese.

This is ridiculous. There have been many predictions on what a PSP phone would look like and now we're taking this one to be true. If this is the real thing, which for the record I don't think it is, then I am disappointed. I thought that they would have learned from the first PSP that they need two analog sticks along with all four shoulder buttons to match the PS3's controller. That would make it great for remote play and playing old PS1 games. It also doesn't have a PS button. I'd like to think that Sony wouldn't make a mistake like this.

lol, if this was real why would it be in a Portuguese magazine before a Japanese or even an american magazine, it and has anyone else noticed that the analog stick is placed in an awkward position that would probably give u cramps in ur fingers after 3 minutes of play. and also even for using it as a phone it looks uncomfortable

That looks pretty bad ass. Woundering if UMDs are gonna be used with it or just eboots and isos off the memory stick and how much battery life will be or the possibility of two batteries, one for the phone and one for the game system.

Firstly I have both formats and also WMV HD, so I can choose what ever I want to watch my movies, I prefer HD DVD over Blu Ray.
