Sofiyacat (http://nekomimi.cafe.coocan.jp/wiki/?%CA%AA%C3%D6) came up today with a new release of his(her?) video-streaming application for the PlayStation Portable.

Changelog:

--- 20080223b

- AmebaVision site added
- added method for debug
- fixed PSPTube.encodeURI

--- 20080223c

- fixed AmebaVision search

--- 20080224

- FNN-News added
- added method PostContents
- changed GetContents.
- support cookie.
- not yet support HTTPS protocol

Also, I read a tutorial a few days ago at the site which I think is to add any video site to PSPTube. I'm not sure, and my japanese isn't good, so don't judme me if I'm wrong. Here (http://nekomimi.cafe.coocan.jp/wiki/?%A4%CB%A4%E3%A4%F3%A4%C8%A4%AB%A5%C1%A5%E5%A1%C1% A5%D6%20Script). Also, the new sites are stored in a java file in the folder system, which is prove...

Note: This version is to test out the Java Script thingy. There's no YouTube, DailyMotion, YouKu, NicoNico, or Stage6 search in this version.

Well, that's all. Enjoy. :)

» how to add youtube or anyother javascript website

Well I have looked into this. It will support most sites if we can config the js files.
If and when I manage this I will post a link for js scripts for all sites I can think of.
eg youtube.js
veoh.js
dailymotion.js
legalmovies.tv
Stage6
then you will just need to put them in
psp game371 system sites folder

I Could do with some help though because I don`t know much about javascript. I will have to work from the js files already within psptube to get an idea of how to do this.

I will post again as soon as I do.
But if anyone knows javascript and how to compile it to work with this then please try also.

see ya

but what does that benefit for us if he gets JAVA script working well?

It means stuff that uses javascript on youtube, IE the youtube comment system, and other javascript things should now work.

You should now get YouTube search back

This will not work on fat psp
It is slim lite version only.
Yes it will load on phat psp but it will not give screen output with video. Just wait I am sure it will be fixed in a newer release.

It's a shame that Stage6 has gone isn't it ? Was a great site, and a great feature of PSPTube++.

its true, the best especially for anime, but if you just get psptube release 2/16 it works on that.

Just do let you know, this does work on the Phat.

There is a glitch with the YouTube codec which makes it freeze after 20 results when you skip to the next page.

There are some Japan sites that show full English shows as well as their own stuff.

www.youku.com

Free PPV on your PSP = Cool

www.tudou.com

Free Full TV Shows = Great

The watch the ? online series of sites would also be good to get .js files from.

You can access the whole series of the watch the ? series sites at. http://watchthesimpsonsonline.com/

Is there a way to crack a .js file from the AOL US which will work on the PSP, it sucks when someone on the UK service can't watch the US version in Windows since it's full episodes of TV shows galore on there.

i prolly dnt need to make my porn surfing easier but ahem on psptube is there anyway to search redtube using txt? like the same way the youtube search works? id rather search the movies by title instead of randomly inputing numbers to get a video lol. also i couldn't figure out how to search videos through veoh. and worst of all, when i try to play a vid with google video it freezes everything an restarts my psp!!!!! now thats just a damn shame :( lol thanks

Maybe a pc/psp/php application/script to make those javascript files for psptube is some idea? Then you just enter the information that's needed for retrieving the download url (page to download url from, what tags the url is within), search page (what tags the entry starts with, the thumbnail (like in the ...youtube....js script) etc.), what urls are valid and the filename into the text boxes in the software and press a button and it creates the script for your entered site. Or does that exists already?

Make sure that when you're writing a script for PSPTube, you edit it using Edit.com (DOS) or save it under DOS mode text mode (with .js at the end of the filename of course);)

Had that problem before, and edited it with PSPWrite back then.
