Koei sends word that its offering an expansion for hack 'n slasher Samurai Warriors 2 via Xbox Live, and by the looks of it, it's free as well (probably because nobody would actually pay money for it).
When it's released on March 21 via Xbox Live download, Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends will add new characters, levels and play modes to the Dynasty Warriors knock-off.
Koei's also lining it up as a full release on PS2, where it can be used to "power up the Samurai Warriors 2 experience or played on its own as an entirely new Samurai Warriors experience". So says Koei, anyway.
Both versions are out on March 21.
