Micro SD problems

whenever i try to use my micro sd, it keeps heating up. also, the computer doesn't detect it (i've tried the adapter it came with and a trans-flash usb adapter). Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Memory cards always eventually die.

What make is it? is it a cheap make, or is it a fake or anything?
