Lol :D

I'm not a huge touchscreen fan. it'd be a nice bonus but a second analog stick would be a dream come ttrue. It'd pave the way for heaps of extra buttons in shooters.

Yeh, exactly the same thoughts here. Honestly don't understand what they were thinking giving us one ffs.

nah dont like the look of that

it looks kinda bulky

Uhhh no offense to that guy. But that concept desing is ugly. That looks like some cheap rip off of a psp you'd find in a china market stand. I don't even think the psp needs a touchscreen. Like everyone says a second analog would be nice for some fps action. What we also need on the psp is some decent developers. I'm starting to get really bored of my game collection and nothing really seems worthy of a purchase right now.

not to mention touch screen buttons don't work as nice as real ones.

every1 in NYC has a sidekick already. if you walk around with this, kids will push you in the mud and laugh at your sidekick 3 ripoff.

even if sony did make this, something tells me it would cost a hella amount of ca$h

No offense to the author of the image, but it's not only unimaginative, but horribly ugly.. and even a bad photoshop at that. ^^; Seriously, that thing looks like hell.

That thing is uglier than the "If Apple made PSP" thing.

Two screens back to back dont make sense for a console tbh or is that one screen on a swivel?, horrible design

wolfpack
February 29th, 2008, 02:56
honestly i like the design, but move the buttons more to the edge of the system instead of so close in and possibly add speakers to the ends of the screen also to make it look like a mini portable stereo system with a nice screen :p

its not really that much smaller, and the button config is impossible

2 things the psp is lacking, that i wish very much were there, l2 and r2 and second analog stick

ab88
February 29th, 2008, 04:08
I'm I the only one that is so annoyed by the current analog positioning? Seriously Every time I have to use it for more than 4-5 mins on any game my thumb starts to get numb, especially in combination with the left trigger =[

I would prefer them at the top, seriously before saying it is silly hold the psp and feel the difference!

Edit: added 'bluetooth' led while I was there...

I jsut read it would run PS2 games

bah
February 29th, 2008, 04:21
I'd take No_one_in_particular's or ab88's design over the one in the first post any day.

I curse sony for the PSP's lack of a second analogue nub! :)

whats the point of having a high res screen just to blur it up with fingerprints .

Na touch screen idea sux

I agree and disagree with some things. The idea of another joystick is good but the button position is bad. Like Wolfpack said, they should be spaced out. The design is ok except for the fact the thing looks too delicate. The original was fragile enough! Make it more durable so I'm not scared to drop it! I also think they should make the grippy part of the joystick look like the xbox joystick, with the dimples. My thumb slips off sometimes. It's annoying.

whats the point of doing this? seriously now

February 29th, 2008, 14:44
Not only is it ugly, it's badly designed. What is the point of having a touch screen that will be useless once you flip it open?

Doesn't seem so bad to me. I could go either way on touchscreen. I'd rather see a decent sized hard drive and maybe a sub-interface more conducive to mp3s. And of course a second analog nub...but I think that's just become an obvious necessity.

what they were supposed to do the 1st time:

2 analog stix
8 buttons

how are u gonna give us access to the whole PS1 library with only 6 buttons. just dumb... i guess if it has better graphics, processor.. etc, other systems will be doable, like Dreamcast!!!
