Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 is still due out in 2014.
As part of its investor presentation Nintendo named both Bayonetta 2 and Monolith Soft's X as part of Wii U's 2014 release schedule for Europe, America and Japan.
The Nintendo published title was announced in 2012 (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/bayonetta-2-exclusive-to-wii-u/0102828). In June last year Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata said the game was targeting a 2014 release (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/nintendo-bayonetta-2-not-out-until-2014/0117024).
Developer Platinum has previously explained that without Nintendo's support the title wouldn't even exist (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/without-nintendo-bayonetta-2-would-be-dead-in-the-water/0103362) and has subsequently praised the platform holder's work ethic (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/platinum-praises-perfectionists-nintendo-over-bayonetta-2-partnership/0119780).
“They know a lot about games, and they've been really great to work with,” producer Atsushi Inaba said. “Our relationship so far with Nintendo hasn't been very long, but so far it's been a great experience. Not to say that we won't have some serious fights over things later, but so far it's been good.”
