With the announcement of the Freeloader for Wii, more questions have been raised about how exactly the disc will run, how firmware updates will be handled and more. According to an email sent to Datel, here are some additional information...

WII FREELOADER IGNORES ALL REGION-CODING.
WII FREELOADER IGNORES ALL WII UPDATES ON A WII GAME DISK (INCLUDING SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL).
WII FREELOADER IGNORES THE NECESSITY OF CHECKING FOR GAME UPDATES; THUS ALLOWING THE GAME FILES TO BE PLAYED SAFELY WITHOUT ANY RISK OF BRICKING YOUR WII CONSOLE.
CODEJUNKIES STAFF HAVE CONFIRMED TO ME, BY PHONE, THAT IF A WII FIRMWARE UPDATE SOMEHOW BLOCKS THE WII FREELOADER, THEY WILL SEND YOU AN UPDATED WII FREELOADER FREE OF CHARGE WHEN ONE IS CREATED, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PROOF OF PURCHASE OF YOUR ORIGINAL COPY OF WII FREELOADER.
Below is high-res box art of the WiiFreeloader.

You can place your order for the Wii FreeLoader at Divineo UK (http://www.divineo.co.uk/php/affstart.php?affcode=bandit&prod=wii-dfr) and other retailers such as Play-Asia (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-38tr-49-en.html) (US (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-38tr-71-10v-77-4-49-en-15-freeloader-84-j-70-2m94.html) / PAL (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-38tr-71-10v-77-5-49-en-15-freeloader-84-j-70-2m98.html) / JPN (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-38tr-71-10v-77-6-49-en-15-freeloader-84-j-70-2m99.html)). To clarify, there will be ONE (1) disc for all regions. Play-Asia made a mistake by posting one for each region. I'm linking to all three as we're unsure if Play-Asia will remove the other two products or keep them.

I loved my Gamecube Freeloader and now with the help of this I'll be able to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl this side of summer. (F*ck you Nintendo).

This is an awesome product and if it does everything it says on the tin they deserve my custom and thanks.

Show me yo' moves! PK FIRE! *Can't wait* ^_^
