Atari has posted in our Fenix Forum --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=48641

this news:

I have set up a blog at http://atarikee.1up.com to document the trials and tribulations of working on a game in Fenix. I'm hoping that by doing so, this will help others in their pursuits. There is more information about this idea in the greeting at the blog page.

Brian (Atari)

Great News ;)

Fenix runtime update is coming for Dreamcast. Is this going to support VMU saving?

There's some people that wanted to enter a Fenix game for the Dream On contest in contest tier #1, but they can't due to lack of VMU saving as per the rules.

Now i'm developing it and testing.
I need help for testing programs and games.
I could send us by e-mail. But now, i haven't right version of fenix compiler/interpreter for Windows, i only can make it for GNU/Linux.
Also, i try obtain these windows EXEs from fenix developers.

Yesterday i patched glob functions and vmu save support; when open file for writting, write on vmu (savestate shown with fenix icon and name of file) and when open file for reading and fail, retry read on vmu.

I've build 2 binaries: stand-alone runtime and fenix sdl loader (FSL).
Stand-alone, loads /fenix/fenix.dcb directly.
FSL show a graphical menu with games described at /fenix/fenix.xml.

This week i want test it and write a little web explain it.

Awesome! VERY exciting news!

I saw your post on my blog. I'd like to test the runtime. You can email it to [email protected]. Thanks!

Hmm... maybe I should set up a linux box. I've got a few extra computers sitting around here :)
