You can now register an email address to which a master key can be sent. If you forget your PIN and the answer to your secret question at a later point, a master key to reset your PIN can be sent to the email address you have registered. Please make sure to use an email address that only parents or guardians can access, to prevent children from seeing the master key that is sent.

System stability improvements and other adjustments

Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user's experience.

Last week Nintendo reported a net loss for the financial year ended in March 2014 following weaker than expected Wii U and 3DS sales (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/462376/nintendo-posts-annual-loss-as-wii-u-sales-slow/).
Shortly after, it announced a new near field communication platform for Wii U and 3DS called Nintendo Figurine Platform (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/462614/nintendo-announces-nfc-figurine-platform-for-wii-u-and-3ds/).
Nintendo will reveal a number of NFP compatible games at E3 in June, and plans to release character figurines with built-in NFC functionality beginning this Christmas season. NFP will be compatible with Wii U software from the end of 2014, and with 3DS titles from next year.
The platform holder also hopes to boost 3DS sales with the release ofnewly announced (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/462503/pokemon-ruby-sapphire-remakes-coming-to-3ds/) Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/nintendo-3ds/games/13643/pokemon-ruby-sapphire/) remakes, which will launch worldwide in November 2014.
