cygwin problem

hi, i am trying to install cygwin but i have some problems. when i type in ./toolchain.sh

it gives this error
ERROR: set $PSPDEV before continuing
../depends/check-pspdev.sh: Failed

can someone help?

Also if i type in ./toolchain-sudo.sh

it says

cannot run the toolchain script or something like that

can i just use a precompiled toolchain?

The precompiled toolchain that you have linked is out dated. Googling "ERROR: set $PSPDEV before continuing" gave this as the first hit:

you need to set the PATHS before trying to execute the toolchain.sh ... to do this simply write the commands below in CYGWIN.

export PSPDEV=/usr/local/pspdev
export PATH=$PATH:$PSPDEV/bin
