View Full Version : PS3 GTAIV More Expensive Than 360 GTAIV (In Britain)

This isn't the first time this has happened, but it's certainly becoming a worrying trend: many British retailers are already pricing the PS3 version of GTAIV higher than the 360 version, despite Rockstar not having yet announced an official rrp. WH Smiths will be selling the PS3 version for £45 and the 360 version for £40, while mega-retailers GAME and GameStation have said they also expect the PS3 version to sell for more. So PS3 owners pay more for the game, while 360 owners get the promise of DLC and free MS points upon pre-order? Oh dear.

Oh God, not this stupid price stunt again, like what happened when DMC4 came out: £45 for PS3 version, £30 for Xbox 360. This is taking the mick, why do that? The game is more or less pretty much the same on either Xbox or PS.

Well it's better for me. Being cheaper, will sell a lot more than the PS3 version.

Yeah but there is no point or reason for it. PS3 and 360 games are the same price here in the US, although we get a lot more game on a Blu-Ray than a DVD...

If I were Sony/Rockstar I'd take these retailers to court for price gouging; its not fair to consumers.

Converted from aus dollars to Great British Pounds, that's still £45.85 and £45.39 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 respectively though. It looks like you'll pay more more than the UK people will - I though we were always the ones on the back burner and having to pay more.
