EA's kicked off its estimated $50 million Battlefield 3 advertising blitz, with billboards starting to crop up all over the UK.

So far fans on the official Battlefield forums have spotted giant EA billboards clad in Battlefield garb in London, Birmingham, Salisbury and Bracknell.

Most of the advertising seems to be centred in Birmingham, possibly in preparation for GAMEFEST at the NEC Arena on September 16.

Amazon Germany is carrying a listing for a God of War Master Collection for PS3.

According to the online retailer, the package bundles the first two God of War PS2 games, the third PS3 one, plus both PSP entries in the series.

The release date is supposedly September 16, which would tie in nicely with Sony's launch plans for the God of War Origins Collection, which bundles HD versions of the two PSP God of War games for PS3.

Acclaimed PC indie platforming series Rocketbirds is on its way to PlayStation Network, developer Ratloop Asia has announced.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken puts you in the shoes of a gun-toting rooster as he blasts his way through the city of Albatropolis in an attempt to dispatch Putzki, the evil leader of the Penguins.

The latest entry in long-running JRPG franchise Legend of Heroes is coming to Europe, publisher Ghostlight has announced.

No release date has been set, but Ghostlight has confirmed that Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky will be released in a special Collectors' Edition, though it remains tight-lipped on what the set will include.

Developed by Japanese studio Nihon Falcom, Trails in the Sky first saw release on PC back in 2004. A PSP version launched in Japan in 2006
