Developer Sucker Punch has extended inFamous 2's UGC beta test following the widely-publicisedPlayStation Network outage.

A post on the game's Twitter feed read, "We've decided to extend the beta. Once PSN is back up we'll determine by how long, but rest assured: your outcry has been heard."
You can currently still play the beta but you can't upload or download any user-created stages, or access the private beta forums.

Modding tools for the PC version of Crysis 2 are on their way, developer Crytek has announced.

An open letter posted on Crymod.com by CEO Cervat Yerli explained that an editor would launch in "early summer" allowing users to "build new maps, items and more custom content for Crysis 2."

The forthcoming Hitman sequel reportedly in development at IO Interactive could be called Hitman: Absolution, judging by a new trademark listing filed by publisher Square Enix.

Logged by the publisher's European arm and spotted by Siliconera, the listing is for "computer game software".
Hitman 5 hasn't been officially unveiled yet, though an IO source told us last year that the game was in development and would be out by Christmas 2011"at the very earliest".

Square's beloved SNES RPG classic Chrono Trigger is on its way to PlayStation Network as a PSone Classic, according to an ESRB listing.

The US ratings board post, as spotted by IGN, offers no indication as to when the game will be available for download or how much it will cost.
First released on the SNES to huge acclaim back in 1995, it was ported to the PSone in 1999 and it's this version that you will presumably be playing.
Already confirmed for an impending Virtual Console release on Wii,
