Activision has confirmed, as expected, that Modern Warfare 3 will make use of Valve's full Steamworks feature set.
Built into both the digital and retail versions of the PC game, Steamworks compatibility offers the usual range of functions - auto-updating, achievements etc, and will also support dedicated servers from launch.

The game is available for pre-purchase via Steam now and anyone who does so will be able to "start playing immediately upon its release on Steam". Not much of an incentive, really.

GAME's offering a free Brady strategy guide and some avatar goodies with its pre-order-only 'Modern Warfare 3 Intel Pack'.
