The platform holder has confirmed this week that gamers can look forward to the original GBA version of Four Swords, which released as a bonus feature on the Game Boy Advance port of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Disappointed slightly? Avid fans may be, because that version was later followed by a far superior GameCube version, which expanded the four-player concept to a full-fat quest with some really excellent puzzles and dungeons.

Surprised? You shouldn't be. It makes total sense that DSiWare would get the smaller more compact game originally created for a handheld anyway, rather than a full-blown retail console release that would require substantial re-working to make fit and functional on the DS screens.

Still, you can't complain when it's free, right? Look for it on DSiWare (playable on both DSi and 3DS) in September.
