My UK version of Little Big Planet 2 arrived today, making way for my item transfer from the first game to the second.

Originally, I've got the U.S. "Collector's Edition" of Little Big Planet 2, but the item transfer does not function from PAL to NTSC and vice versa. Both versions will make a nice addition to my collection, until I've collected all (or most of) the trophies from the U.S. version.

For anyone torn between the two versions, I would suggest the U.S. version if you are in the UK and haven't yet played or own the first game. As for those in the U.S, I envy the fact the Collector's Edition with the extras (plushie / book ends) was released in the U.S. and not here.

I'm still waiting on my friend to getting LBP2 so I can use him for it.

I lack a PS3 still. I'm working on getting one though.

You seriously need a PS3, it's taken a whole year of solid gaming from me... Unlike my Wii and Xbox360, which are both currently shelved after playing the games I wanted.

Little Big Planet 2 is awesome, though somewhat shorter than the original. But going into the community and going to the "MM Picks", you will find the original Donkey Kong game and a dungeon level from The Legend of Zelda (NES), which I'm hoping to learn how to make a full game within LBP2.

Is this game better than the first? I love the first one I can hardly wait to get the second one!!

I got the first one as a present shortly after launch. However it was a US version and found out shortly after receiving it I couldn't use any DLC from the European store. Made me remember not to get import games that may have DLC. Sure I could just make another account for the country a game came from but I can't be assed.

You can use the DLC from the U.S. store on your UK account.

All you have to do is download the contents from the U.S. account, without installing the items. Then log-out and goto the UK account and install. It's worked a charm with my U.S. LBP2, although now it's not being played due to now having the UK version... I should really put it on eBay sometime this week.

It's about the same, but it has newer features which is worth purchasing LBP2.
