    Hi,

I would like to inform you about this new project called jointSPACE.
I am personally working on it and try to find developers enthusiastic for it.

The idea of jointSPACE is to create homebrew applications for Philips TV displays.
The TV expose its API over the network using DirectFB technologies.
You can develop remote applications making use of TV API from many systems, including the Nintendo DS and the iPhone for e.g.
The remote device just needs network capabilities (a router is also enough!)

The NDS applications currently use DSLinux.
You can find the applications but also information on the project at:

    http://jointspace.sourceforge.net/
    http://jointspace.sourceforge.net/download.html

I would be happy if you could promote the project for me.

I am looking for people that could port the SDK on Devkitpro and so support PSP, WII,... and NDS natively.
Also ideas of new applications, other systems...

    Thanks a lot!

    News via http://dingoonity.org/

xdpirate has released a new text-based Pokédex application for the nanonote

    Quote
This application is an extensive, command-line PokeDex for the Ben NanoNote (a binary for Windows is also included). It contains alot of information about every Pokemon there currently is, such as heights, weights, kinds, types, egg information and more. You can look up Pokemon by name or by their number. In a future release, filtering of Pokemon by types and other criteria will be possible.

    News via http://dingoonity.org/

The Simple Protracker player has been updated

    Changes:
    - MUCH faster textout routine (ascii-sorted bitmap now, no need to iterate through an ascii table)
    - No surface locking/unlocking (not needed in Dingux SDL, saved A LOT of cycles! Yes it really did, test yourself.)
    - Faster "Amiga period to hertz increase" calculation
    - Proper "change volume" routine
    - Other optimizations and small fixes

Now you can play modules with no skips even when underclocking to 200MHz... :-)
Well, there's a little skip in face_another_day.mod in 200MHz, but that's because it use an extremely slow tempo some places.
