Wraggs has read the thread I can assure you. I have a feeling an attempt at relaunching the site is on it's way.

And yeah, I'm still alive too.

Do you know if the staff will be included in this relaunch? Do you know of their concerns will be addressed?

I'll start today by upgrading to the latest vBulletin version (4.2.0). I agree that there are too many forums on the front page. This could be sorted under subforums.

My input:

- News posts should not be indexed in the forum search engine. If you click "New Posts" you'll see what I mean. Almost all threads are news posts for the various sites. You'll have to sort through them to see the actual forum posts.
- The downloads system needs to be sorted. The old version we had installed was flawed (security wise) but I'll have a look and see if they've improved security.

Oh good to hear things are will finally be looked at now. It's been too long coming!

Cheers for that. I'll do my best to help out. DCEmu can certainly become great again but work needs to be done.

This is one thing that I can see bring a lot of people back to the site, and keep new ones around. Going through the forums, its almost impossible to find a post that is anything other than news.

Great! Although I'd still like to have some newsposts included on the search, I mean those who really have something to with homebrew. But 80% of news posts don't have anything to do with it. :P

Yeah it's a bit difficult to sort out since news is posted in nearly every forum.

You can now select the DCEmu Blue (Full) style, it auto adjusts to your browser size:

Select your style from the bottom left corner of the site or from your profile.

Reduced the number of forums on the main page from over 70 to around 25. Much cleaner look.

The forums haven't changed at all and the URLs to them stay the same. They've just been moved here:

Click "Console Forums" from the main forum and you'll get to them.

Oh yes finally the index page looks so much better than it was before and now I can pick a theme to match widescreen! This is ace, thanks!

We're going to play with a few ideas to try and organize posts better. It can certainly be a bit unfriendly to users when they see a wall of newsposts and are really only looking for specific stuff.
